Life is too short to eat bad food.
All of my fav eats. And my not so fav ones.
When I think of celebrations and treating myself, I think of food. (Is that an unhealthy relationship w/ food? Ia. Something to think about.)
Before moving to American Samoa, my favorite thing to do was to try out new restaurants and to sit down and have a good meal with my family and friends. Now that I’ve moved back to Samoa, my options on places to eat and cuisines to try are limited. To bide my time until I go back home, I’ll include all of my fav eats and my not so fav ones below.
I’ve never been one to cook. I was a major DoorDash user! So much so that when my dad heard I was contemplating moving to Samoa, he said “No, she wouldn’t because there’s no DoorDash there.” Now that I’m here, I’ve begun to cook at home now (barelyyyy) but I’ll make sure to include my successes and failures here!

My FAVVVVVVV breakfast spot everrrrrrr!
Park Cafe
French toast
Park potatoes
Sausage and eggs
Good ol’ orange juice

Can you tell I love French Toast?
Once I started working after law school, I only ever saw my mom on the weekends because she worked night shift. So, we’d go almost every Saturday to try new Mexican places and use all my money at Costco lol. I miss you lots mom, xoxo.
Cafe Silvestre
Birria tacos
Chips & salsa
Some type of queso dip
Spicy Sprite

Korean Hotdogs
My fav go-to snack when I’m hungry but don’t know what to eat. Get a sausage hotdog w/ light sugar, ketchup and mustard. Feat my mom in the back (lol). If you’re really hungry, get a mozzarella hotdog too! It always hits the spot for me.

Best Chinese in Utah!
Red Maple
Shrimp fried rice
Beef and broccoli
Salt and pepper shrimp (w/o heads)
Sweet and sour chicken
Beef lo mein
Best chocolate donuts
Fresh Donut & Deli
This has been our go-to donut spot for yearsssssss now. The donuts are fluffy, not oily and not overly sweet.
I had a hearing near the donut place one day and I grabbed a box for our office. They killlled it. The partner at my firm even called me to send him the address.

Girlllll. Can’t forget about my steak.
Cowboy Ribeye
For as long as I can remember, steaks have been a staple in our family. Good grades? Steak. Birthday? Steak. Graduation? Steak. Bad day? Steak. Lol.
My fav. ribeye steak has been from the Ruth Chris location in Salt Lake City. The food is always better if you’re in a smaller party (need to leave my family at home).

My fav is Crown Burger
Cheesy
Burgers
Sometimes you just need a fat juicy cheeseburger. The firm I worked at was literally 2 minutes away from a Crown Burger. I ate it for lunch so often they recognized me.
Triple cheeseburger
Double Double from In n Out
Big Carl from Carls Jr.

I can only eat a triple cheeseburger so many times before I get sick. Hence, my attempts at cooking for myself.
Other than frying Spam (I cannot eat another Spam for the rest of this year), air frying my bacon and eating blueberry Eggos for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These are my attempts!
Of courseeeee, the first thing I cooked was a ribeye steak.
It was 10/10.
Now the second time I tried making it was a biiiit of a fail lol. Too salty and too well done for me.

Meatballs.
I made waaayy too much. I had my cousin pick up the rest for her kids. I probably still have a container of meatballs in my fridge that I need to throw away. Will def be making them again.

Spaghetti
I’ve been craving spaghetti a lot. It’s a good meal to put in the fridge for work lunches and it’s easy to make.

Steak burritos
I’ve been wanting Mexican food soooooo much. I made some mini steak burritos w/ ribeye steak, potatoes and Mexican blend cheese. And yes, no veggie in sight. It’s a work in progress.

Matcha lattes
I have been craving a matcha latte. I finally got the Ippodo Tea – Ummon Matcha and a matcha whisk set. It taste good. I just need to get vanilla syrup now.

Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme
AHHHHH. I have been wanting a crunch wrap supreme for monthssssss. Mind you, I never even tasted one when I lived in UT but I’ve been salivating for one. Finally made it and I’m obsessed with it. I’ve made it three times within a week. It’s delicious and I can make them ahead of time and leave them in the fridge. Whenever I want one, I can just air fry it for 13 minutes at 375 and it hits every single time! I couldn’t find any Roma tomatoes or sour cream though so I’ll try it again when I find those.

I think I’ll be making a naan pepperoni pizza next. Saw my aunt-in-law post it on her IG and it looks good. Easy to make too. Let’s see how it goes.
